App Reviews for Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8

    Nice one
Good app. Rating 4 stars so developer has will to do it even better. Test is good, just results I found difficult to read. Its hard to sort sentences with word "not" or without. Could do results with less text. Keep on.

    Wow love it!!!!
I was born with one ear. My "good" ear has about 40 percent and its getting worse every year. Doc says I'll be deaf within the next few years. I love this application because these tests cost me a lot lol. It at least gives me an idea of how much worse it's getting. Thank you guys!!!

    One time use, but cool!
I'm not going to be testing my hearing everyday, obviously, but this was a great lil tool to see if I really can't hear, or if it's psychological (selective hearing). It's psychological, lol!!! I'm 37 and I hear as someone 15 yrs younger, yay! Recommended to a few friends, too.

    Very educational
This it's great. Of nothing else out sparks your interests on a significant subject most people don't think about. I am 27 and scored in the 30-35 year old rang of hearing. Low frequencies were easy for me

    Seems to work weĺl
I have moderate hearing loss. My audologist said i had the hearing of a 70 year old and that's what this program said. The user interface isn't verb good but that's secondary.

    Awesome!
I'm 48 and have the hearing of a ferret (!) or someone 18 or younger. Next I'll test my husband...I know he doesn't hear me sometimes - I'd like to know at what level he's just ignoring me (or using his "selective hearing"). :-) Thanks for the fun and informative test!

    Very good app
The best of the hearing test apps I tried. Gives a pretty full test and explains the range of hearing that one hears. Some minor ui issues and a bit cutesy for my tastes but very good overall

    Confirmed what I expected.
It's important to remember that the test can only validate that you can hear within the constraints of the frequency range of your hardware. When I used a good set of ear buds, I was able to hear better than when I used a cheap set. The results were quite consistent when I did the test at different times, with the same earbuds. Thanks for letting me determine where my hearing is faulty without going to a doctor!

    Good App!
Gave me a general idea of where I'm at with my hearing which I have felt was not up to par but now confirmed. At least I know now I have a basis for going to a doctor and having it checked!

It did what I thought it would do.
Make sure you have a decent pair of headphones that reproduce the sounds for more accurate results. I had to turn up the volume on several in order to hear the tone. My range was 17.5Hz to just above 15kHz. I'm sure the lowest of tones was more feel but my ear buds were able to put something out so that was cool.

    Great App Diane
For what it is - its very good. An indication of hearing ability - with the limitations of equipment used to play it on - together with all the unknowns of manufacturers using short cuts to get an electronic component to appear as a higher spec'd component whilst actually not performing as such. Read the developer's notes. 'Dr'.Diane get a brain - are u seriously comparing this App with all the variables present to calibrated medical equipment set-up under perfect conditions!???

Recently completed H&S course, included module on hearing damage. Pleased to find I have a hearing age of A little over half my actual age. Confirms what I thought. Great app, easy to use.

    Nice, but missing an audiogram.
It tests the frequency range of your hearing with a decent test protocol, but you're allowed to turn up the volume. It would be nice to see an audiogram, i.e., the threshold of hearing compared to an 'average' person. I understand that differences between headphones make it hard to do this with 3 dB accuracy, but since the normal threshold varies by 60 dB at the low end and 25 dB at the high end of the spectrum, it some indication would still be possible. Likewise, with the frequency differentiation test, it would be nice to see some statistics to compare against others, rather than "drummer, keyboard, singer".

    Great app!
I see a lot if people rating this app low because they didnt get the results they wanted, but as a musician i find it highly accurate as i've had my hearing tested before and got similar results as this app gave. Fun and informative!

Great app. Definitely follow instructions for best results
Tried this app first without headphones in normal room and results were disappointing. Then put in ear buds and retook in quiet room. Results consistent with my own professional medical assessment. Hearing of a ferret, very sensitive to noise. Recommend this app, but usual caveats apply: YMMV, and this is for fun, not clinical findings. If concerned about hearing, get professional testing.

    Astonishingly Accurate
Tests highlighted loss of sound in lower register, of which I was aware, and it also pinpointed my age. Must try this app on my elderly mother who claims she hears like a bat but always has TV on loud enough to waken the dead!

    Hear like an Elephant!
Yep, that is accurate. But not over 70 til next year. Good side: I have to get the ladies up close so I can understand their higher pitch voices. I don't object to that. Bad side: Only heard in right earbud. Would like option to select left or right. Then becomes 5 STAR !!!!!

    The best!
I tried about 3 apps, and this one was by far the best. They both tests, the second one tests to see how well you hear intervals. I was super curious since i was a pro singer, but had difficulty tuning a guitar by ear. It confirmed i couldn't heart some tight intervals. Way cool!

    Relisble
Test confirmed what doctor already told me. This app was easy to use and results were understandable. Be sure to test each ear separately though as diminished hearing in one ear may not be noticable.

Not me, it IS my kids'
For a long while I have wondered how my hearing had been affected by years of Rock&Roll concerts, and spacing-out in my basement listening to albums. This let me know that since my kids don't speak in frequencies a dog can't hear it IS them.

    Peace of mind
I'm a rock guitar player 55 yrs old. I was concerned my hearing was very damaged but this thing nailed my hearing as a 50 to 60 yr old. Good to know I haven't done too much damage! I'm gonna go crank up my guitar amp now!

    Fairly Accurate
I had an audiologist test my hearing a few years back and the results seem to coincide with what this app tells me. (Good hearing for a guy in his late 50's.) It's one of the better hearing tests I've come across.
  • FADE IBITOYE
    Very good
This is a very well-structured test, with adequate education about the hearing test and changes of hearing with age. It should help you make up your mind whether to go to your doctor and get your hearing checked or not yet.

Good, useful application. Tested on a Galaxy Note 4 with cheap earbuds first to later on Sennheiser HD 280 pro closed, circumaural monitoring headphones. You need a closed, padded headphones (that would suppress the sound from other sources) to get accurate results. After all in a real testing, you would be in an anechoic chamber. To the author: You could offer a continuation on the results (say the lowest high frequency the person could not hear) with the ability to increase the volume (> 100%) and see where they stand (small loss to complete loss). Hearing Test
Seems to work fine. The test results appear to be about the same as the one that I had done 4 days ago by a professional testing center. I do have hearing loss and knowing where I was already helped with evaluating this app. It would be nice if the app could generate a graph that I can send to the printer.

    CAN'T BELIEVE IT!
I am only 19 years old and it says i have hearing like a 60-65 year old! i have always thought that i had to ask people to repeat what they have said or struggle to hear people. i went for a real hearing test and i need hearing aids! if this tells you, your hearing is over the age you are then i suggest that you go for a proper one because it is true and i have had my hearing aids for 1 week and i can hear lots more!
  • Kathy Schlosser
    Pretty accurate!
I have mild hearing loss and have been tested at doc with basically the same results as this test. Heard from experts that untreated hearing loss can result in early onset dementia and in some cases even Alzheimers, so if you get poor results here, be sure to get to doc for a proper checkup.

    Interesting
I suffer from tinnitus and sometimes need subtitles on tv as the dr/ear specialist says I have nothing wrong with hearing and to just "live with it".. I am 24... This each time always says I have the hearing of a 60 year old in my bad ear. And 24-30 year old on good ear. I belive this more then my Dr.

No wonder i couldnt hear the girlfriend!!!
Showed my girlfriend the sound dedicits in the higher ranges, so no wonder I couldnt hear her. After she cuffed me across the head several times, my hearing has now drastically improved. Or so SHE tells me. Ha ha. Maybe its my attention span thats faulty? There MUST be an app for that!!!

    Need good headphones
I used my bose noise canceling headphones, and this app worked great. The external speaker cannot produce the low tones for that. I had to redo the test because I said I was hearing the tones, but really I was hearing a popping sound at the beginning and end of the tone. You may want to redo the low tones to fix that. Also, it would be nice to test individual ears. I know my left hears better than the right.

    Sad but True
I figured my hearing was off, but I didn't think it was quite so poor as that! Granted I won't take this as a professional result, but it does seem to be a clear indication that a check-up is due. I really like the way this app is designed; I've had a provincial hearing test done many years ago and the procedure was very similar. An excellent app and great place to start if you think your hearing is impaired.
