App Reviews for Micromax Bolt A69

This is as close as I believe we can get to a linux desktop. This is a great app, with a few bugs. The space right above the window is a bit squashed. I really could use a setting to disable the gyroscope mouse. It click is a bit laggy, but that does not matter too much too me. I would like little buttons on the bottom to send clicks, and use the touch screen as just a trackpad. In genaral, this is a great app.

Great but I can even run blender on Kenobi k4
But missed 1 star because can't upgrade no matter how many things I tried stuck at vaise broken packages errors the latest version should aromatically brings latest packages

This is an amazing app, but I highly recommend using it with a physical keyboard or at the very least a virtual keyboard which supports arrow keys, ctrl, alt etc. such as 'hackers keyboard'. I think with any linux distro you can expect to spend time trouble shooting, and I feel like that is especially true on this platform.

    Great, but flawed
Does the job, best linux app on the market. Should have option to use root if available. Installing different window manager is proving to be a struggle but I'll get it, definitely not for an inexperienced user. Google keyboard doesn't not play nicely with this at all.

At startup found no network, no music, but real linux
    1. Good, that no crash on my old slaggish TF101 tablet. Android 4.0.3. Really working terminal bash, xterm, etc. I had to reread description and installed iceweasel as suggested, cool !! Youtube runs slow on iceweasel, without sound, yet.

Works from the first attempt on Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. I was able to install without any problem with apt-get some of the tool I wanted to use (java, javac and gedit)
  • Shawn Turillo
Works flawless on my note 2
No lag, hickups, or any other problems when running on my galaxy note 2. For those of you who are trying to use this without an external monitor. Dont bother installing. You will need a magnifying glass just to read it.

Hey, I got a galexy s6 and am getting a input/output error when I try to use Internet browser. That's the only probelm every thin else is amazing ^,^would recommend there being preset detection on what the resolution should be set 2

    Works Good
Works perfectly on my tab. Can't able to use Internet Browser, it gives input/output error. Also if you want to install more function to it, your will require additional internal storage.

Works great I like the feature where you hover your finger over the screen and the mouse moves with it. I did have one problem but a lot of other people had this problem with the Web browser. If you could make ice wheezle the default browser I think it would work just fine

    Unique, but one problem.
This is a really unique application, I have not found any others that allow for the installation of Debian on Android, but there is a problem with installing python and anything that depends on it (on a Galaxy Tab A 6, SM-T280), this is the error message it gives: "rm: cannot remove '/usr/share/doc/python/html': Function not implemented".

    Not perfect but still amazing
The last time I tried to run Linux on my phone I had trouble with X11. Now I see everything is running so well without needing root. Quite amazing

    Fantastic but have prob
This works amazing on my tablet but I'm trying to install numix via git clone. I tried copying icons into the .icon folder I created but I get a write error every time I try. Says it is write only, no matter where I place the folder and I've always checked permissions, everything is read and write. What should I do to fix the error? Already tried ntfs-config

    Is it abandoned?
This app has not been updated and chromium still doesn't work, Are you working on update, busy in personal life (because everyone has a life) or have abandoned the app ? Nevertheless a great app.

Useful with wine. But I have a request, can you make a root version? I would love to use ADB and Fastboot for my phones using my tablet's USB OTG port. And sound Does not work
  • Meho Onal
    Great overall but needs work
Awesome, installed right away. Firstly, the Debian installed is very old and outdated. Secondly, I'm on note 3 and it's not letting me use keyboard. It gets glitchy when I press the back key.

The best solution for accessing remote Linux systems
This, along with X2Go, has been my go-to app for accessing my remote Linux developer desktop. Unfortunately, it stopped working today. I reinstalled. Now the X server won't start. Giving 5 stars anyway because I'm sure my tablet became corrupt somehow and because this has been such an amazing app. I hope the developer can help so I can use this again.

    Getting there
Installed easily enough on Motorola XOOM 604, ANDROID 4.0.4 ICS. Iceweasel installed ok. Trouble getting LAMP stack installed. cannot get installed APACHE to start so cannot install tikiwiki or moodle. Will update if i can get it started.

    Love it but...
...internet browsers I bit screwed up. The basic onboard browser doesn't boot and the Firefox iceweasel browser can't boot because it can't find profiles. Everything else seems to work well though.

Fab.. not fast but very functional.
I invested in a Bluetooth mouse, and spent a bit of time configuring the settings (and killing some interfering services). It finished up pretty serviceable. I'm not sure if I will have a long term use for it but great fun if it is your bag.

For those who can't or are afraid to root their device, but still want a full desktop, this is the best solution I've found. Starts by downloading and installing a base Xfce4 desktop, which can easily be customized through standard Linux terminal commands. I use Hacker's Keyboard, so I found the startup config useful to remove the on-screen CTRL/ALT/SHIFT keys, as well. P.S. A workaround for the uninstall issue on pre-5.x devices: In a file manager, go to "/sdcard/Android/obb" and delete the "com.cuntubuntu" folder inside. Then you'll be able to reinstall this app.

Well done, sir. Side loaded on my OUYA and runs nicely with keyboard and mouse. Still working on getting Mono Develop IDE to run but I can compile and run mono from the terminal. JDK and G++ run as well, so nice set of dev tools are available. 5 star effort.

Great app BUT I dont have keyboard in debian
I don't have virtual keyboard anyone knows why? Cause without is useless for me. I dont want connect a real keyboard so if someone know pls help. :)

Best one on the playstore, but...
Issues noted... It has fakeroot not real root. If you SU it asks for a password (none mentioned by the developer). Also its slow but I think thats just the chroot, alot of work still needed but definitely a much needed alternative to linux deploy and the like. Maybe something the developer should leave open source so more heads can make this thing a monster. 4 stars for being awesome, -1 for locking me out :D

This app is amazing. It makes a smartphone or tablet into a fully usable linux interface, capable of running almost any program. The only thing holding back the app is the users screen size, often not big enough to get the most use out of it.
  • Jorge Quintanilla
It's amazing. Everything worked in a Samsung Galaxy S4 (Iceweasel, etc. once installed using apt-get). I used a GTD cable to connect a PC keyboard and mouse and my TV to watch the screen via mirroring (I don't think the system is usable in any practical way on a mobile without stylus and bluetooth keyboard but that's not the point). Thanks for the hard work.

OMGWTF! Yussss! I'm on marshmallow, and a lg g stylo that makes 6.0 even more trash... but it looked so good I HAD to try this anyway... and it's THE linux emu I always wanted in my pocket 8D if you're not on 6.0 or cursed with garbage tech- like me- and you want a pretty gui (xfce4) and raw power at your command... GET THIS! @pelya: another dev found workarounds for all your 6.0 glitches wth adopted sd's, internet and package handling (but the kernal, install, and gui is doodoo!)... please collab and make my phone beast :3

    Decent app so far
I wanted libre office and cherry tree on my tablet, tried some emulators but it was way to slow for me. If I can get free file sync installed I'd be happy, but it seems that even if I do the in ability to access any external media would be a problem (can't access sd card or usb flash drive). If anyone has found a way to access these types of media please post!!
    It's pretty cool !!
I tried many apps for Linux installation in my android tablet but all of them made my tablet to keep hanging but this one is well designed and comes with lite Debian version. The version is quite old. I think there have an option to get newer version! Well, I'm pretty impressed. Must have apps for Linux lovers !!
