Moto droid. In order to use, u have to go to: contacts, select the person u want, hit the menu/options button, then choose share. Works great

    Apparently lacking Unicode support
It seems like application is lacking Unicode support. When I want to share a contact, window pops out giving me an option to select which contact info to share. Contact fields that contain unicode characters are not properly shown. There are just bunch of alphanumerical codes.

Used to work great on Moto X, but now crashes with KitKat update. This is now useless without an update.

For me, this is one feature I use rarely, but feel should have been built into android. Works flawlessly on Nexus S 2.3.2.

Instantly works. A Must Have app.
Should be native, Google! hit contacts/menu/share. After install Text Message option is suddenly there.

It DOES work on Gingerbread. (my bad)
I take it back. It DOES work on Gingerbread. I might have installed it wrong the first time. 5 stars for this. :)

Great app -Droid 1 - Protip: doesnt open like an app, its an addon to the android "Share" option. For ppl questioning.

    Small, simple app. Perfect
Installs super quick and allows to share name and number easily. Using Samsung Google Nexus S which doesn't have this basic feature. Thanks!

This works so well. Why oh why was it not included as a standard feature of android? Shame on you Google!! Good work dev..thanks.

    Works with Motorola Fire XT
By default while trying to send a Contact, the android 2.3.4 phone converts to vcf format. This is send through MMS which requires data \ internet connection to be enabled. It has been frustrating to enable data only to send contacts. After installing this program it has been a breeze sending contacts as SMS without data connection. Well integrated & no annoying ads or pop-ups

Neat little app, works perfectly, seamless integration. Would be 6 stars if it could also share mulitple contacts at once from within the multi-select contacts menu. One at a time will do. This should be a standard feature of Android, even my ancient green screen brick could do this. Smart? Phones.

    Very good indeed!
I just can not understand, why this is not a basic feature in Android! Shame on Google! This app just does what it promises - tbh. sometimes got fooled by the international (UTF8) contacts, and vcard support would be really nice - this is not promised anyway, so the 5 star is real!

I was searching for this king of app...
This app really seamless. You wont even realize when it integrates to you 'share' contact menu. Keep it up.

Thank you!!!! For some reason my new Moto X did not have the ability to text contact info. This app works perfect.

This app gives us something that really should be built into Android in the first place. Thanks for catching up feature that fell through the cracks!

    Fantastic on my Moto G
Really My purpose is served now. All these days I was very disappointed that I couldn't share contact via SMS text messages, which proves handy always. Thanks to providers

Best add on app feature ever
Yo this is nice feature for sharing ur contacts, works like a charm san. Bluetooth is nice only when close to the person u want to share it with so now its SMS time . And for the idiots out there u won't see this in app draw it will be integrated to ur text feature as a added feature . So press contacts then menu select share by SMS . O dont use ur call history, has to be from phone book or under people.

simplest and the best way to send contacts in txt
The simplest and the best way to send contacts in text format via sms. It's best option is to select the fields u want to share. Has been using this for years. Among the must have apps for me. Only crib - It only supports the default SMS app (preinstalled on phone) - would be lovely if it also supports Google SMS app 'messenger'.

    Well done good sir!
Not sure why Android left it out, but you have filled in a very useful missing link. Love the minimal permissions!

    Simple yet perfect.
First app i ever needed. Ridiculous - almost any old 'dumb' phone has this as standard. As previous commenter said icon background should maybe be transparent, but that's really attempting to find something to complain about.
  • zombinow
Simple, non invasive. Nothing to fault.
Its a shame that stock messaging app doesn't come with such simple functionality.

Really cool app that works well when sharing with Blackberry and Androids. It does not work when sharing with iphones, has anyone else seen this?

    Sending contact by SMS feature
is absent on iPhone too. Don't understand this nonsense. Only HTC phones with Sense UI have this feature. Much needed app.
  • Balaji Doraiswami
I was not able to share contact through sms with my new Xperia Z. Only mms was possible. With this small add on, I can now share contact through messaging by text. Good
  • Ben Gleason
    Works as advertised
I simply cannot understand why this functionality isn't baked into the OS from the start. Seems like a big oversight. So we're lucky to have this app to fill the gap.
