    Requires a manual installation
To perform a manual installation you will require a root explorer such as Root Browser. Navigate to "/data/app/" and copy the file "openvpn-2.1.1-static-busyboxinsbin" to "/system/xbin". Afterwards rename the file to "openvpn" and set its permission to "rwxr-xr-x". Finally open the Openvpn Settings and it should detect the installation correctly. Done successfully in my SuperSu rooted Nexus 5 on 4.4.2

    Great Open VPN app
I really like, but while it worked flawlessly on my Nexus S and Nexus 7 with CM, I am having trouble getting it to install on my new Nexus 5 (rooted and busy box installed). The log say it cannot mount /system in rw so the installation fails.

    One click.
I successfully installed this in ONE touch! Thank you for this.

Works nice on the Nexus 7:)
Worked like a dream on my rooted Nexus 7, running 4.2.2

Everything works. 3D smart tv, ps4, and laptop. All free apps. Couldn't be happier

    great and free
tried the well known clients. this is the best in terms of execution. once setup, you're home free, presuming your connecting to your home's ovpn. XD option for tap as well makes this kickass. good on you dev man for making something great and not being greedy.

    Install work around
Wouldn't copy binary. I copied the apk to a temp directory on my sdcard. Extracted it. In the assets folder renamed busybox binary to openvpn. Copied that to /system/xbin and set permissions with es file explorer to rwx-rw-rw. All is well and works flawlessly. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, rooted - stock.

    Work perfect on Nexus 7

    Nexus 5 works but...
Running N5 stock 4.4.2, rooted, bb, custom kernel. OpenVPN installer doesn't work (cannot mount /system)... So I manually pushed "openvpn" to /system/xbin and set permission to rwxrwxrwx. Also I pushed "" to /system/lib with permission rw-r--r--. Now IT WORKS :)

Well, that's good .. but u must fixed some Issue

    Installed perfectly in one click.
People who don't know what they're doing shouldn't be allowed to comment. This is still the best way to get full openvpn support; not limited by android API. It even supports tap!

Only OpenVPN solution that supports TAP! (The best protocol out!)
Still works great! Install both Openvpn Installer & Openvpn Settings. Navigate to /data/app/ and copy openvpn-2.1.1-static-busyboxinxbin to /system/xbin. Rename openvpn-2.1.1-static-busyboxinxbin to "openvpn." Set permission to "rwxr-xr-x." Launch "Openvpn Installer" for binary check. These directions worked great for me! "Use VPN DNS Server" option does not forward DNS traffic. This is minor!
