Best chinese vocabulary learner in the market
The app is really helpfull specially for me who only started to learn chinese language. But if you can update and add an option for us to hear the exact pronuncition of the chinese words would be better, cause there are some words that are the same but with different stress on it. But all in all very helpfull app. Hope you can consider my request.. Xie xie..

    very good application
it's a very good application but it's important that the pronunciation and how to write these words like skritter site . if you do this it will be a fantastic application

Great app, but useless for beginners
I think, this app is really good, if you already know the basics of chinese language, like how to pronounce the 4 different tones. Because this app doesn't have sound, it will be very difficult to study, when you're just beginning to study chinese. If you had voice input, the app would be great. I would gladly pay for it, too, so i could check, if my pronounciation is right.

    Very Good
Learning Mandarin is very difficult for a Westerner. Simply because it is so different from English. This app is fantastic. It's actually what I was looking for. One thing that could improve the app is a sound byte of the word being said of character is touched. I still give five stars.

    Very useful
Recmmend for those who want to check their vocabulary level.

    A little confused.
It's OK this app. Though many meanings summarised of the hanzi, I don't completely understand in which context. Eg: 鸭 translated as duck, but I learned it with 子, so why not write 鸭子 ?And so more, eg. no pronunciation audio. Maybe, IF you would make an upgrade you could make this possible and maybe even a microphone to let us compare our pronunciation. Beside of these, it's a good app.

    Awesome app!
This is a super helpful way to build vocabulary. Nice that you can randomize the words. Nothing for phrases, but this should help for basic comprehension.

Love this app. But if you could make it hide the answer and then me be able to make it appear it would help more! Thank you.
  • Fei Gao
Great app, but it would be nicer if sounds of each word can be inserted!
  • Nathan Love
    Highly recommended
Totally portable, eliminates wasted time, makes all my Chinese courses comfortable. Only minor issue is you must remember the number where you left off if you close the app and reopen it later. Just remember to supplement character training with application (dialogues, grammar, etc) for most effective use.

    Very useful tiny app!
This app helps me a lot with my HSK vocabs. Plus, it uses very few phone memory and I feel thankful for that!

    Very useful app
It's a very good test and review tool. When you start learning Chinese you must go through some basic things before you get to your vocabulary building lessons. Once your have started building some vocabulary this tool would become very useful. It uses the vocabulary the HSK exams use so an excellent rack of words for any learner of Chinese. As mentioned in the description you can select the difficulty of vocabulary and have many crossover words to your lessons as most are very similar. It does what it claims very well and would be exceptionally useful for a person preparing for an HSK exam. On the basis of that I give it five stars. Could it be better, yes but I would not reduce starts for that. Some considerations for enhancement could be selectable options like, blanking out your choice of English, characters or pinyin. Have the hidden character/pinyin/English show on a press or just show up after a one or two second delay. An option for highlighting the radical within chars. An option to sound each word. An option to have the character write itself on the screen in stroke order.

Thank you so much for making this free. It is very useful for learning Mandarin. I am sure that if we learn all the 5000 or more words in the advanced level we would be able to read anything in Mandarin. Keep up the good work developers!
