Much better than the stock Android voice and better options too.
Plus you can get different languages. I currently have U.S. Grace and both U.K. voices (female and male) and love listening to them all. I have them setup as the default voices to hear when my tablet outputs any voice. Currently that is mostly either Moon Reader+ reading my ebooks to me as I drive, or the voices also are used for Google Navigation. Definitely give it a go and try it all out. You'll be glad you did.

    Really good quality
I have purchased this TTS engine and several of the voices. I have been most pleased with the quality and clarity of the voices. I use them not only on my android, but in several desktop computer applications, and the UK English male voice is a wonderful substitute for the built-in one that comes with "Evan" the personal assistant. I would be even happier if the SVOX engine integrated with more applications.

    Great stuff
Dear developers, in 99% of cases I'd like to use the pronunciation correction option to correct the accentuation of a word. I don't see a simple easy way to do so. Please let me know if there is such an option, or provide one. In that case I'll buy. Without it russian pronunciation is sometimes really annoying. Thanks in advance.

    Was great till ICS
PLEASE update it to work properly with ICS. Works on Navigation and not much else. Used to work on GB apps so I guess its a matter of you updating SVOX. Seems like its been going on since ICS has come out that there are a lot of people contacting you to get it fixed. As for as I can tell from what I have seen there is no response. I suggest that people avoid paying for this until its been updated past 2011.

Got it working in marshmallow again.
If you're on android 6.0.0 or greater this works but you have to change a default setting. Under "Language and Input" look for TTS options, then under Svox options unchecked "Use Optimized Engine". You might have to drill down in advanced settings. I had never tried this setting in Lollipop perhaps it workshop there too. I still believe this is the best TTS option for android. The ability to customize pronunciation set it up above all others. Just don't expect support, I believe this app is abandoned.

    Issues after reinstalling
PROBLEM FIXED — I reinstalled my Android OS and went on to reinstall Svox and the Victoria voice a purchased. The app installs fine, the voice also. But when i try to launch the voice app in order for it to download the necessary files it hungs on... Checking app license. Please wait... I even installed a trial voice, but i have the same issue. The problem us on my HTC Evo 3D (GSM) phone.

The Victoria voice is the best synthetic voice available at the moment. I'm only giving 4 stars because SVOX is always in my recent apps list, cluttering it up, for no apparent reason. I'm guessing DRM but as a paying customer I find it irritating.

    Works good but one problem
When using my phone I needed to change the text to speech because I rooted it. One problem is when using my phone and I go to close the apps on my s4 I will sometimes see it hanging out with the other apps. Weird and not a big or important problem just sometimes annoying to me. It works good because Google's and Samsung default all failed upon rooting.

    Newer Google maps problem
It isn't using my svox voice but the default voice and instead ever since the newer versions of maps was released. Please fix that. I'm rooted if that helps so maybe you can throw in a fix that overrides defaults easier for rooted people.

Reading dashes in the text is stupid.
I like it, BUT you all REALLY need to fix the problem with the voice reader reading dashes in the text. If real live people don't read dashes in the text than neither should voice reader. If you can than I would give it 5 stars.
