DroidSound LG Optimus G PRO Freaked Rock's!!!
I Love this app, be very cool If they also add LOOP songs, & volume Control too. I just wish you can play Sega Gen - .vgm, Game Boy - .gb, Nintendo 64 - .usf, GameGear - .kss, PlayStation 2 - .psf2. I have all the files & plug-ins if they need them@ all. If anyone needs them let me know I have All the System real Music it is 14gigs. Great job on getting it to work in the first place.

The tool is simply awesome. Only sad thing is inability to play tunes from folder from my external sd card.

I guess this is no longer developed or maintained. Switched to zxtune which works great

    Excellent MOD player, UI lacking
Plays nearly all exotic formats you throw at it. If it had a better UI and the ability to store your stuff in Music/ instead of MODS/, it would have gotten 5 stars from me.

    Awesome App
I love this app! Thanks so much for creating it. Plays all of my NES NFS files flawlessly! It brings back so many fond memories of playing those old school games with my brother and friends. I love how the app seamlessly can play audio files stored and compressed inside a zip file. Keep up the great work!

    Samsung Galaxy S6 edge
I love this app, i am so happy that the creator made this. It would be ever greater if they add Channel select, so you can control what Channels that you want on. Oh N64 the adding song length part only works for a few games so it would be great to change that too. I use this app every day. Thank you so much. Keep up the great work. If anyone wants the game music let me know i have TONS of them.

    Awesome player!
I was hoping to find an Android player for all the classic demo tunes I listened to on the PC's. I copied a ton of files into a MODS directory, and DroidPlayer is cruising right through the list :-)

The best, but it can be better
It would be a perfect VGM player which I'd like to buy if you'll change three things: 1)It desperately needs own widget AND/OR controls in notification bar, like PowerAmp do. 2) Need to add ability to switch track back by headset controls. 3) MAKE IT IGNORE OPENING ZIP AND FILES WITH UNKNOWN FORMAT! Man, I can't download apk, zip, and bunch of other formats because the player just keeps sucking them in, thinking it's music!

    Downloaded for .brstm files.
And of course they don't work. Seems like it does what it is meant to do fine, but I only downloaded it because somebody told me it would play .brstm files. Please add support for this format soon.

Great, except for a small gripe
As wonderful as this is, there is a tiny issue where psf songs that are longer than 4:06 freeze up the application and render anything unplayable until you manually end the cached process. This is the only thing keeping it from a 5 and I couldn't be happier with it. 2sf support would be great but beggars can't be choosers! Thanks for the quality player!

Per gli amanti della computer old music é veramente un gran Player.anche Modo computer music pero e stupendo...

Great emulation of all your old skool computer and video game music. Loses a star for slight difficulties in setting up for novices

Great for game music files, but needs updating.
This app was perfect for all of the game format sound types from the "retro" systems, however the newest version of Lollipop has made it useless for .nsf and gb files as subtune cycling no longer works. Droidsound-E works and has a responsive developer.

More than just a mod player
Plays almost everything. It's not mentioned in the description, but it uses UADE, which plays almost every Amiga format with a DeliTracker/EaglePlayer replayer. I just wish it had player controls in the notification widget like most other players do these days.

    It does the job, but...
Okay, nice, it plays chiptunes like ChipAmp does, but I would definitely like it to be louder. Also, the chiptunes seem to play in an endless loop no matter what I do with the settings. Maybe there's a fix for this in the near future? Hey, not perfect, but I really like it.

Awesome app for old-school VGM soundtracks!
Nothing better for NES, SNES, Genesis, and Game Boy soundtracks! It's almost flawless, as there's no recognition of fadeout data so the songs just abruptly end, it's still an excellent app for old school video game music!

    Works great!
One of the best vgm players I have ever seen. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars would be lack of compability with some later gen console music files (like psf2 and 2sf).

    Some suggestions...
1 - Optional Infinite Play mode (Ignore timers if song has loops and/or until Next is pressed) 2 - Try to update GME to the VERY latest version (read: one which covers the updated VGM specs, enhanced by ValleyBell. 3 - Please, PLEASE fix Shoutcast streaming, AT LEAST on the Galaxy S 4 (Android 4.2.2)! 4 - Please, please, PLEASE allow TRUE file browsing; I don't wanna have to rely on the MODS directory anymore!

A good retro gaming music player
I just use it for listening to retro gaming music. Works well in that regard. Would love to see it support N64 music.

Great but has an annoying issue
Since I updated to Android 4.4 on my Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, the sound now occasionally stumbles and breaks up while playing SID tunes. It seems like it is a priority issue... used to play perfectly on Android 4.2.2..

    Awesome retro music player
Awesome. Would be nice if it would either default, or ask if you wished it cycle the subtunes contained within files that contain more than one tune on that initial startup. Also, a tutorial on the programs use, and how to load your device would be nice as well. Also, every one of these retro songs that we play have both times and fadeouts set. DON'T SKIP the FADEOUT. it just doesn't sound natural when its skipped.
